Utilizer develop point-of-care diagnostic tests for urinary tract infections which are clinically relevant, fast and cost-effective. Our long term vision and goal is to bring UTI tests to patients wherever they are; at home, at primary care, at acute care, at an elderly home, anywhere.
Utilizer is a medtech start-up company and a spin-off from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are common in women. Sometimes the symptoms can be very clear like more frequent need to urinate, burning or itching feeling, fever and other times more diffuse symptoms occur.
If you suspect that you have an UTI, it is always recommended to contact a physician for help and diagnosis. Making an UTI culture from your urine sample provides you with answers is it a UTI infection and do you need antibiotics or not.
Even though some UTIs can heal by themselves, it is important to diagnose for UTIs, because if left untreated you can get more severe infections in the kidneys (called pyelonephritis) and patient can even be hospitalized
